A 76-year-old man, James Campbell, died Tuesday afternoon following a one-vehicle accident on Highway 27 just south of Wartburg.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report, Campbell was driving south in a 2009 Buick LaCross when the vehicle left the roadway before coming to a stop nearby.
A passenger, 76-year-old Carolyn Campbell, was injured in the accident.
