A 79-year-old woman, Betty Pressley, could face charges follwing a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrain on Deer Lodge Highway near Sunbright on Wednesday.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol Report, Pressley was driving a 2018 Nissan Kicks south on Deer Lodge Highway when she allegedly struck a Tennessee Department of Transportation worker, 52-year-old Jack McPherson. McPherson was flagging traffic with proper safety equipment on.
McPherson was injured in the accident and transported to a local hospital.
THP is investigating the accident and charges are pending.
