Morgan County seeks homeowner rehabilitation grant

$750,000 grant comes with no county match

At its monthly meeting on Monday, Morgan County Commissions unanimously passed a resolution to allow the county executive’s office to apply for a $750,000 grant to help low-income homeowners.

The grant would be through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the HOME program. The funds would be administered by the Tennessee Housing Development Agency to provide housing rehabilitation for low-income persons.

Morgan County has received the grant before and several home received repairs and renovations.

If Morgan County receives the grant, their would be no match for Morgan County government.
